Bernadette Solon
Chairperson
Bernadette has been a proud resident of Mullingar for over 40 years, having moved from Dublin to pursue her career in architecture. Over the years, she has held a wide range of roles including university lecturer, architect for Westmeath Local Authority, conservation officer, and heritage officer.
Since retiring, she has remained active as a TidyTowns adjudicator and as a judge for the Canadian Communities in Bloom international competition. She also serves on the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland’s panel of visiting assessors and is a member of the executive of the all-Ireland Follies Trust.
A long-time supporter of Mullingar Arts Centre, Bernadette brings with her a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to heritage and the arts. We are honoured to have her lead our Board and look forward to the future under her guidance.
