Alika Lynch - Dance Tutor

I have been dancing since my early childhood, with various stage schools such as Billy Barry and progressing into my teens to become apart of Mullingars Arts Centre Academy. During my teens I fell in love with Hip-Hop and danced with FitKids FitTeens.
I then went on to study at Sallynoggin college of further education for one year and continued for a further two years with Bray institute of further education. During my time at both colleges I studied styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Physical Theatre and Kinesiology.
I received my HND in dance. Alongside college I also took part in training urban styles with FLY dance company’s training program ran by renowned Artists Kerrie Milne and Zac Milne. I then continued my dance studies abroad in UEL University of East London where I received my BA (Hons) in Urban Dance Practice (2017-2018). During my time at UEL I studied Urban Dance styles including, House and Hip-hop (with Clara Bajado), and Contemporary and Dancehall. Whilst in London I got the opportunity to perform In TRIB3, a collaboration piece between renowned Kenrick Sandy and UEL, performing the piece on the main stage at MoveIt (2018) and at Stratford Circus Theatre.

Additional note:
My goal while teaching my class is to make my students feel comfortable and confident, to give them a safe place where they can express themselves freely and train hard while still learning technique and having fun. Dance is my lifestyle, and I want to create a growing atmosphere, where your hard work and dedication pays off, and you leave the room feeling amazing.
