Angela Lynch – Head of Music / Music Tutor

Angie has over 30 years experience teaching singing piano and flute. Angie studied in Maynooth University where she obtained a BA H Dip in Education.
She has been involved in Musical Theatre in Mullingar since 1983 and has musically directed countless productions.
Her main passion is working with the youth and helping them achieve their potential in a professional and fun environment. Angie has a wealth of experience in music and education. Angie is the Head of Music in Mullingar Arts Centre.
Angie has also been the Musical Director for Mullingar Musical Society, Mullingar Student Players, Mullingar Arts Centre Gospel Choir and many more. At current she is Musical Director for Mullingar Pantomime Group and our Junior Stage School Players who recently starred in their acclaimed version of ‘The Jungle Book’. Angie also runs the Sweet Tunes Active Retirement Choir who meet every Tuesday morning.
Lorcan Daly – Music Tutor

Lorcan Daly has a long and vast experience of music, Lorcan
attended The College Of Music, Dublin and was voice trained under the renowned Veronica Dunne and Ken Shellard, there he also studied piano. Lorcan studied theory of music and french horn in The Royal Irish Academy of Music. Lorcan spent 23 years in the Irish Army Number One Band was a sergeant and also Principal French Horn Player of the bands of the Defence Forces.
In addition Lorcan was also Brass teacher and conductor of the Tallaght Festival Band, Lucan Concert Band. Lorcan is also Musical Director and Conductor of St Mary’s Brass & Reed Band, Kingscourt, Co Cavan. He is also Principal Conductor & Artistic Director of the County Kildare Orchestra.
Lorcan has performed, recorded and toured with many famous artists.
Lorcan is no stranger to adjudicating/judging and has adjudicated the ‘Open European Band Championships’, the ‘Irish Association of Brass and Concert Bands and was chief judge and council member of the Irish Marching Band Association.
Lorcan was artistic director and principal conductor of Maynooth University Orchestra. He has played with almost every musical society in Ireland, within Mullingar Arts Centre Lorcan is the current Musical Director for Mullingar Musical Society and facilitates an Outreach Music Programme where Lorcan visits schools weekly for six weeks and introduces them to the instruments of the performing band. Starting off with Flute and Piccolo and working his way up to Tuba, Euphonium and Percussion - which leaves very little room in his car - students have a first hand experience of the instruments. Sixteen schools take part in each term. On the seventh week all the schools come to the Centre for a performance by either the Garda Band or Army Band. We are entirely indebted to both bands for their ongoing support. The Outreach Programme is funded by Mullingar Pantomime Group.
Joanne MacDonagh – Music Tutor

Joanne is no stranger to the stage and has been taking part in local musicals for over fifteen years. She has taken on many principal roles which include Mary Magdeline with Mullingar Musical Society’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar, Wednesday in MCVG’s production of The Addams Family and most recently Demeter in Clara’s Musical Society’s production of Cats.
Joanne has been singing from an early age and has been classical trained Dorothy Horan in Mullingar. She received a Bachelor Degree in Music in St. Pats College Drumcondra in 2003. Joanne is a full time primary school teacher in Tubberclare National School.
She has taken many courses in dance which range from contemporary, jazz, jive and creative dance. Joanne is also currently undergoing training to become a new musical theatre Associate with the Associated Board of Dance.
Niamh Gilmartin – Music Tutor

Niamh Gilmartin is a product of the exceptional teaching and training children get at Mullingar Arts Centre. Joining Mullingar youth Academy in 2004 she totally immersed herself in song, dance and acting. She has performed in many shows and plays, too numerous to mention. This instilled in her a love for music and performance and following school she studied Music and Irish in Maynooth University. Having obtained her degrees Niamh is now in her final year with Freobel in Maynooth University and will make a fine primary school teacher.
She has worked for the past two years as an assistant music tutor in the Junior Stage School and this year she takes up the position as of Music tutor with the Senior stage School. Niamh has completed all her Piano Exams with the Royal Irish Academy of Music and is currently undertaking studies with the Associated Board of Dance. Niamhs love of children makes her a huge asset to Mullingar Arts Centre.
Claire Gilmartin – Music Tutor (Gospel Choir)

Claire Gilmartin has been involved with Mullingar Arts Centre since childhood having been a part of Mullingar Youth Academy and The Student Players. She has performed with Mullingar Musical Society, Mullingar Pantomime Group and Little Brother Productions. While most of her performances have been on stage, she has also been part of the orchestra for others. Following school Claire obtained degrees in Music and Irish at Maynooth University and then Studied in Limerick University for her postgraduate degree in Music Education. She has attained her piano grades through the Royal Irish Academy of Music and was presented a High Achievers award in voice. She is the director of the Mullingar Gospel Choir for the year 2017/18. .
Sarah Nally - Head Of Drama / Drama Tutor

Sarah studied in England achieving her Communication Arts and Drama degree before going on to gain her Higher Diploma of Education in 2008 when she moved to Ireland. She is currently working toward her Masters in Special Education. Sarah has had a passion for the arts since a young age, starting with dancing at 3, to after school drama club, to Drama at university. As a trained teacher in English, Drama and CSPE, combining the Arts and education was a given and Sarah has a vast experience of teaching drama with various age groups. She continues to pride herself in her work with students attending Mullingar Arts Centre’s many stage schools. Focusing on Creative Drama, theatre and exams with the Royal Irish Academy. Sarah also runs the centre’s resident special needs drama groups: Artsarama and an adult Down Syndrome drama group: DramaticS, these groups love to get on the stage whenever they can. With a young family Sarah loves to escape to the Arts Centre to take part in Mullingar Pantomime shows and to weekly singing in the Mullingar Gospel Choir.
Jemma McNamee – Drama Tutor

Jemma McNamee is an accomplished actress. She has performed with Rail Theatre Company in various venues around Ireland from Letterkenny to Macroom and has also performed at Electric Picnic on a number of occasions. Her stage career began with Mullingar Student Players and since then she has played Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Student Players), Jill in Jack & the Beanstalk (Mullingar Panto Group), Catherine in A View from a Bridge (Rail Theatre Co.) and most recently Curley's Wife in Of Mice and Men (Rail Theatre Co.), to name a few. Jemma has also won two All Ireland medals for Scór both with Mullingar Shamrocks. She has directed Steel Magnolias and Why Not Stay for Breakfast for Little Brother productions and was also involved in directing the TY drama production in 2011 for St. Mary's CBS that went on to win BEST DIRECTOR and BEST SKETCH at the All Ireland Drama Festival in Cork. Jemma directed the smash hit success that was Grease! In aid of Mullingar Shamrocks in 2016 and is currently directing Mullingar Musical Society’s production of Singin’ In The Rain.
Sarah Jane Gordon – Drama Tutor

Growing up, Sarah Jane always had an interest in theatre and partook in musical variety shows.
Later in 2007, Sarah Jane completed her Associates Diploma in Speech & Drama through the Leinster School of Music & Drama in Griffith College, Dublin. That year, she was nominated for her piece playing Hester in The Bog of Cats by Marina Carr, and went on to win The Leinster School of Music & Drama Excellence Awards out of 12,000 contestants. That following year on her travels throughout Canada, Sarah Jane volunteered teaching with a non profit organisation in Toronto. Upon travelling out west to Calgary, she started working with a Canadian Irish theatre group, called the Liffey Players and undertook the role of Stage Manager for one of their plays- Happy Birthday, Dear Alice.
In 2009, Sarah Jane moved back to Ireland for a year and played one of the lead roles in The Mullingar Arts Centre Little Brother Production.
From 2010-2017, Sarah Jane lived in New York, Hawaii and Phildelphia. After taking a hiatus from 2010 to 2013, Sarah Jane went back to university and graduated in December 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies. She moved back to Ireland in March of 2017, and is more than enthusiastic to bring her skills and experience she has gained in her tutoring.
Eimear Keating - Drama Tutor

Eimear has been acting since the age of 12. Beginning with Olive Whelan's School of Drama (under the tuition of the great Sarah Nally) and then went on to be involved with the Mullingar Arts Centre's Student Players, acting in plays and musicals and then went on to the Mullingar Youth academy. She has trained classically as a singer for 9 years under the tuition of Helen Hassett (during this time Eimear received a Higher Acheiver's Award with the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Musical Theatre in 2011) and then received further training for 3 years with Cathal Synnott. She is a recent graduate of the Lir - National Academy of Dramatic Art, having completed a three year BA (hons) in acting. Since graduating, she has most recently been involved in Gladeye theatre company's production of "Running With Dinosaurs". She has worked with directors such as Wayne Jordan, Selina Cartmell, Louise Lowe and completed the Corn Exchange's "Commedia Dell'arte" workshop with Annie Ryan in April. She has been teaching Rathowen Rural Stage School full time since Sept 2016. She is so proud to teaching these students as they are phenomenally talented and so much fun to teach! .
Natasha Dunne - Drama Tutor

Natasha has been involved in the performing arts from a young age. She started out like many of our own students, attending stage schools. She gained experience in many stage schools and private speech and drama classes in Dublin, performing lead roles in many productions and won many prizes in festivals and competitions such as Feis Maitiu. Her passion for drama led her to continue studies in this area and completed all examinations with the Royal Irish Academy of Music with Honours and Distinctions. Over the years Natasha has completed many acting courses and workshops in Dublin and when shes not teaching she loves acting, having performed in various productions on screen and stage. Natasha has worked with the Mullingar Arts Centre for 3 years now. She is drama tutor in our Kinder and Senior Stage Schools in Mullingar and also our Rural Stage Schools in Rochfortbridge, Delvin, Kilbeggan and Rathwire. She is also involved in our Outreach to Schools programme as well as classes for adults with special needs. She is very passionate about her job and thoroughly enjoys seeing her students learn, grow and have fun through drama!
Siobhan Moore – Head of Dance / Dance Tutor

Siobhan Moore started dancing at the age of three. She first trained at Joanna Banks School of Dance, London, followed by Shawbrook Ballet School, Legan, Co Longford. Siobhan continued on to receive a Diploma in Dance and the Performing Arts at the College of Dance, Monkstown, Dublin. Concentrating on Jazz, Contemporary, Choreography, Ballet, (Point work) Tap, Musical Theatre, Dance History and Anatomy. She continued her studies in Dance for 3 more years receiving a B.A Honors Degree in Dance and Theatre studies at London Studio Centre, Kings Cross. In 2004, Siobhan became an outreach Dance instructor for the Mullingar Arts Centre, introducing dance to young students in schools around Westmeath. This job she adores and continues to do. Siobhan first choreographed for the Mullingar Student Players production of ‘West Side Story’ in 2005. Since then she hasn’t stopped. She choreographed the first production from the Mullingar Panto Group (2007) and continued on for many years working as choreographer for the Mullingar Panto Group, the Mullingar Musical Society, the Mullingar Stage School and Longford Musical Society, as well as organizing the St Patrick’s Day parade routines. Siobhan set up her own dance school ‘Dionysus School of Dance’ in 2005, a school that she dedicates an enormous amount of love to and takes great pride in which is still running strong in Mullingar Arts Centre. She is the dance tutor for the Mullingar Youth academy and Head of Dance for the Mullingar Arts Centre. Siobhan is no stranger to the Mullingar stage. She has performed numerous lead roles including ‘Ula’ in the producers and ‘Mandy’ in the Full Monty musicals, ‘Linda’ in Move over Mrs Markem and’ Elvira’ in Blithe Spirit to name but a few. She has performed in the Mullingar Pantos, at Electric picnic, worked with Simon Delaney and judged with Mick Foster. Siobhan dedicates her life to dance and takes great pride in her work.
Aimee MacManus – Dance Tutor

Aimee has been a dance teacher and choreographer for ten years but has been dancing from a very young age. She trained in many styles and performed and competed throughout Ireland all the way through her teenage years. Aimee obtained her degree in Dance Studies from the University of Wolverhampton in 2007. Aimee is currently studying the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus in Modern Theatre. Aimee will have obtained her Diploma in Dance Instruction anda Diploma in Dance Education in Modern Theatre by the end of the year. Aimee runs her own dance school ‘Elevate Academy Of Dance’ also located in Mullingar Arts Centre.
Aimee and Elevate Academy of Dance are members of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), which is one of world’s leading dance examination boards.
Aimee has choreographed many musicals and variety shows, some being Grease, Miss Saigon, Cats, Happy Days and Phantom of the Opera. She has been hired many times as Creative Director for events and fundraisers such as Strictly Come Dancing, Lip Sync Battle and fashion shows.
Sarah Corrigan – Dance Tutor

Sarah began dancing over ten years ago. During her teenage and early adult years she took part in numerous musicals and pantomimes both student and adult productions. Sarah began her dance training in 2010 by attending Sallynoggin College of Further Education. During her time in Sallynoggin Sarah trained in genres such as ballet contemporary and jazz, receiving both RAD and ISTD grades. Sarah then went on to study at Bray Institute of Further Education where she received her HND in dance. In 2013-2014 Sarah continued her training at Edinburgh College where she obtained a BA (Hons) in Dance.
During Sarah’s training in Edinburgh she also worked as a teaching assistant in the Pauline Quirk Academy of Performing Arts.
Sarah is the current owner and chief choreographer for Spirit Performance of dance technique. Sarah is one of the many resident dance tutor’s with the Mullingar Arts Centre stage schools as well as choreographer for the Mullingar Arts Centre Junior Stage Schools production of the The Jungle Book. She also worked as assistant choreographer for the Wizard of Oz in 2016. Sarah also choreographed the very successful G2T Factor 2017.
Sarah Anne Meehan – Dance Tutor

Sarah Anne has been dancing since the age of four and has a wealth of experience in performing and dancing; she studied ballet under Pauline McGrath in Dublin and trained in Latin Ballroom and gymnastics from a young age. Sarah Anne has and continues to choreograph fubdraising events such as Strictly Come Dancing, The G2T Factor 2016 and more aswell as teaching wedding couples their first dance. Sarah Anne was also a student of Dionysus School of Dance during her teenage years. Sarah Anne went on to study Dance for three years in Sallynoggin College of Dance and College Of Dance in Monkstown, County Dublin and she currently works for Dionysus School of Dance under Siobhan Moore. Sarah Anne has been in many shows and musicals and has been part of groups such as Greenhills Variety Group, Tullamore Musical Society, Mullingar Musical Society, Mullingar Student Players and Mullingar Pantomime Group.
Sabrina McCauley Healy – Dance Tutor

Sabrina Mc Cauley Healy began dancing at the age of 3 years and has a passion for dance ever since. Sabrina has completed dance examinations in Ballet, Modern and Tap. While dancing as a teenager Sabrina became an All Ireland Disco champion as well as assistant dance teacher.
Sabrina is no stranger to the stage and has performed in many productions throughout the years, including Lakeland Productions, Mullingar Musical Society and her latest being Mullingar Panto Group.
Sabrina completed BA (Hons) in Performing Arts and went onto become a Performing Arts dance tutor in Moate Business College. Sabrina teaches in both primary and secondary schools across the Midlands. Sabrina has choreographed many variety shows and musicals throughout the years. She recently returned to performing after taking some family time out and enjoying time with her husband and four children. Sabrina recently returned to the stage to perform in Jesus Christ Superstar and the panto Snow White.
Alannah Jordan - Dance Tutor

Alannah Jordan has been dancing since the age of 5. Alannah teaches a wide range of different styles such as Jazz, tap, modern and ballet. Alannah specialises in contemporary dance. Alannah is currently studying 'dance studies' in Inchicore college, in Dublin, she also studied in Shawbrook dance academy for a period of time. ‘Dance is my way of expressing myself and being free, it keeps my mind and body healthy. Teaching dance has always been a passion of mine. I have been in a number of productions in the arts centre, such as the Dionysus school of dance shows. I have been an assistant dance teacher for a number of years and I'm enjoying every second of it.’ Says Alannah.
Patricia McDermott - Dance Tutor (Principal of Mullingar School of Classical Ballet)

Trisha studied at The Royal Academy of Dance in London, gaining her BA in Ballet Education. Trisha has completed the RAD Licentiate course, the highest award associated with the academy. Having successfully completed all three levels she achieved her Vocational Advanced Two Examination and was invited to become an associate member of the Royal Academy of Dance as well as a registered teacher. Trisha moved back to Ireland and is now the principal of the Mullingar Art Centre School of Classical Ballet. She provides students with Royal Academy of Dance both graded and vocational classes passing on her extensive knowledge of the syllabus to the all students. Trisha also works as a professional choreographer and has worked with musical societies around the country. In 2009 Trisha became the rehearsal assistant for Youth Ballet West, a youth ballet company based in Co. Galway. The company aims to develop and maintain the highest technical and artistic standards in young dancers as well enabling them to fulfill their full potential. Trisha also has both a Diploma in Dance Instruction & a Diploma in Dance Education. She is a qualified teacher with the ISTD, teaching the modern theatre syllabus. Trisha is now a member of the Royal Academy of Dance Ireland Regional Advisory Committee.
