Classes in Drama, Dance & Music

For the youngest stage school group, fun is a key element. The skills they will enhance in class, such as self-esteem, confidence, social skills, and teamwork work in tandem with speech, language and movement. Music is used alongside drama in this age-group in many exercises, as children at this age are very responsive to music. Action rhymes, poems, and short stories are all used as stimulus to enable creative thinking and action. Children love to play in drama class and can really be anyone or anything they want to be!

The importance of good technique, posture and performance in both choreographed routines and a child’s own creative work is introduced in dance class. Through songs and chants, games and activities children will improve their co-ordination. They will work on travelling steps such as leaps, kicks, turns. Freestyle and imagination exercises are used to work on expression, creativity, and musicality.

Thursdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm (3 & 4 Year Olds)
